Saxifraga hypnoides, the cut-leaved saxifrage, is a low-growing, mat-forming perennial with rosettes of lobed, linear, lime-green leaves, sometimes bronzed in cold weather. White, yellow-centred flowers are borne on upright stems from late spring into early summer. A rewarding and ornamental native alpine for a sunny, very well-drained rock garden.
