About
Saxifraga conifera is a mat-forming, summer-dormant alpine perennial with trailing stems tipped with tight rosettes of small, narrow, grey-green leaves to 7 mm long. Upright stems to 10 cm bear clusters of white flowers in late spring, and conical resting buds remain over summer. A rewarding alpine for a sunny, very well-drained rock garden.
About the genus
