About
Sansevieria trifasciata 'Hahnii', Hahn's sansevieria, is a compact, rosette-forming houseplant to about 15 cm with dark-green, sword-shaped leaves cross-banded in silvery-grey. Occasionally it produces long stems of star-shaped, light green-cream, aromatic flowers. One of the most popular compact snake plants for a sunny windowsill.
About the genus
Sansevieria are stemless, erect, rhizomatous, succulent perennials with evergreen, ovate or strap-shaped, leathery leaves often attractively marbled, and short spikes of small, fragrant, tubular, greenish-white flowers. Excellent and easy-care houseplants tolerating low light and neglect.
