About
This mat-forming, succulent perennial to 5cm tall, with rosettes of fleshy, light-green, finely hairy leaves. In early summer it produces short, branched flowerstems bearing upward-facing, starry white flowers. Plant in a wall crevice, rock garden or alpine trough.

CultivationOutdoors, grow in moderately fertile, sharply drained soil (with added grit) in full sun. Protect from excessive winter wet. In very cold regions, grow in a cool greenhouse in shallow pans of peat-free, loam-based potting compost with added grit and a topdressing of grit, in full light. Water moderately in growth, applying a balanced liquid fertiliser at half-strength monthly. Water sparingly at other times
