About

A compact, evergreen, shrubby melaleuca to about 1.5m tall from southeastern Australia, with small, needle-like, mid-green leaves and small, lilac-purple, bottlebrush-like flower heads borne along the stems in spring, followed by persistent, woody, capsular fruits. A charming, floriferous shrub for a warm, sunny, well-drained border in a mild garden or a cool glasshouse.
