About

A naturally occurring hybrid between Sorbus aria and S. aucuparia from the mountains of Europe, forming a small, deciduous tree with broadly ovate leaves that are lobed and toothed, grey-felted beneath, and clusters of white flowers in spring followed by orange-red berries. A rare and ornamental choice for a woodland garden.

About the genus

Rhododendron can be evergreen or deciduous shrubs or trees, with simple leaves, sometimes with a dense colourful indumentum of hairs on the lower side, and funnel-shaped, bell-shaped or tubular flowers that may be solitary or in short racemes
