A creeping, rhizomatous evergreen woodland perennial with broad, spatula-shaped, lightly ribbed green foliage on short, upright stems. An unusual form of this species. Small, pink lilly-of-the-valley-like scented flowers appear from August to October, followed by red berries after a hot summer.
