About
Ranunculus seguieri, Seguier's buttercup, is an alpine perennial to 20 cm forming a semi-evergreen cushion of deeply lobed, mid- to dark-green leaves. From late spring to early summer it produces solitary, cup-shaped, white flowers up to 2.5 cm across on short, upright stems. A rewarding and ornamental alpine for a sunny, well-drained rock garden.

Ranunculus are annuals, biennials and perennials with variable, often palmately lobed or dissected leaves and bowl-shaped, usually shiny-petalled flowers in yellow, white, orange or red. A diverse and widely cultivated genus for borders, meadows and water features.
