About
A compact, cushion-forming, evergreen perennial acantholimon to about 10cm tall from stony, dry habitats in Turkey, with dense hummocks of tiny, needle-like, mid-green leaves and short (brachystachyum = short-spiked) spikes of small, funnel-shaped, deep pink flowers in summer. A choice and neat plant for a sunny, sharply-drained rock garden or alpine trough.
