About

A medium-sized, upright tree with shiny, narrow, oval leaves and white blossom in spring. The medium-to-large, oval, dessert fruit have smooth, pale green skin, and white, gritty, very juicy flesh with a light flavour. Pick in early autumn and use to mid-autumn. Not self-fertile, in pollination group 4; not very reliable.

Care notes

CultivationNeeds a deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, fairly neutral soil in a sheltered, sunny position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. See Pears or pear cultivation for further advice
