An erect, medium-sized, evergreen shrub to about 2m tall from the rocky gorges of eastern Australia, with narrow, mid-green leaves and dense, crimson bottlebrush flower spikes borne along the stems in spring. A vigorous and floriferous Australian native for a warm, well-drained, sheltered position in a mild garden or cool glasshouse.
