A dwarf, cushion-forming perennial phlox to about 15cm tall from the Rocky Mountains of North America, with stiff, needle-like, mid-green leaves and clusters of small, flat, five-petalled, white or pale pink flowers in late spring. A neat and charming species for a sunny, well-drained rock garden or alpine trough.
