About

A compact, cushion-forming Androsace from rocky alpine habitats in Spain, with small, softly hairy, spatula-shaped leaves resembling those of Alchemilla, and short-stalked, flat umbels of small, white to pale pink, salver-shaped flowers in spring. A choice alpine for a sunny, sharply drained rock garden or alpine trough.
