Plectranthus fruticosus, the forest spurflower, is an evergreen shrub to around 2 m with aromatic, toothed and veined, green foliage and upright spikes of small, tubular, two-lipped, purple flowers from June to August. A rewarding plant for a large container outdoors in summer, requiring frost protection in winter.
