About
Pittosporum crassifolium, karo, is an evergreen, dense, bushy shrub or small tree producing oblong, dark-green leaves felt-white beneath. Clusters of small, perfumed, deep-red to purple flowers are borne in spring. An excellent coastal and windbreak shrub for a sheltered or exposed, mild garden.

Pittosporum are evergreen shrubs or trees with simple, leathery leaves and small, often fragrant, five-petalled flowers, followed by rounded, woody, splitting fruits revealing seeds in sticky pulp. Popular ornamental plants for mild gardens.
