A clump-forming, herbaceous perennial to about 30cm from alpine meadows in Tibet and western China, with broadly kidney-shaped (reniforme), bright green leaves and large, solitary, pendant, pale yellow, daisy-like flowerheads on leafless stalks in summer. A charming alpine perennial for a sheltered, moist, humus-rich rock garden or peat bed.
