Pinus densiflora 'Pumila', Japanese red pine 'Pumila', is a smaller-growing form producing a shrub or small, multi-stemmed tree to 2 m tall and 2.7 m across, with greyish-brown bark and a neat, dome-shaped canopy. The dark-emerald needles are 10 cm long. An attractive and architectural choice for a smaller, well-drained, sunny garden.
