Philodendron giganteum, the giant philodendron, is one of the largest species in the genus, producing enormous, oval, glossy, dark-green leaves to 90 cm or more on robust, self-heading stems. A spectacular architectural foliage plant for a large heated greenhouse or conservatory.

About the genus

Philodendron are mostly large, tropical, evergreen perennials or climbers with very large, often deeply lobed or divided, glossy leaves. Among the most dramatic of all tropical foliage plants, grown in heated glasshouses, conservatories and as houseplants.
