It has oval shaped, sticky and hairy mid-green leaves and produces trumpet-shaped, rich purple flowers with a white halo around the edge of the bloom which frames and accentuates the flowers well. A bushy, vigorous, mounding and trailing floriferous tender perennial usually grown as seasonal bedding or a patio plant. It blooms from late spring or early summer into autumn. It trails or spreads around 30 cm to 40 cm and is ideal for hanging baskets, patio containers and window boxes and as ground cover in sunny, warm, well-drained spots.
