A Carpathian variety of the Oxlip, forming a compact rosette of wrinkled, mid-green leaves and short stems bearing an umbel of pendant, pale yellow, funnel-shaped flowers in spring. A charming, shade-tolerant primula for a cool, moist, woodland garden or partly shaded rock garden.

Parrya includes herbaceous and sometimes woody species grown for their ornamental merit. The genus is represented in gardens by selected species and cultivars suited to a range of growing conditions
