About
A sturdy orchid created by crossing P. glaucophyllum with P. delenatii. Successive flowers with a greenish-white dorsal sepal, a dark pink pouch, and white side petals, flushed and spotted purplish-pink are borne sequentially on single spikes and can remain bloom for many months.
About the genus
Paphiopedilum are mainly terrestrial, and lithophytic or epiphytic. They lack pseudobulbs and produce short stems with strap-shaped leathery leaves. Each shoot ends in a solitary flower or racemes of 2-8 flowers each with a distinctive variably-shaped lip or pouch

Care notes
CultivationGrow in terrestrial orchid compost with added crushed bark in pots that restrict the roots. In summer provide bright filtered light, water freely and apply orchid fertiliser at every third watering. Do not mist. In winter provide full light and water sparingly. See Paphiopedilum cultivation
