About

This bushy, compact, clump-forming upright perennial with slender stems and narrow sword-shaped leaves. Petals are pink, fading to a dark-pink at their centre. From early summer to autumn it flowers freely above the foliage on wand-like stems. New growth and flower buds are suffused with dark red/burgundy.

Care notes

CultivationGrow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Drought and partial shade are tolerated.
PruningTrim back by half in mid-summer to encourage a fresh flush of flowers. Cut back hard in spring before growth begins.
