Nuphar lutea, the yellow waterlily or brandy bottle, is an aquatic perennial with leathery, slightly oval, floating leaves to 40 cm across. Yellow, cupped flowers are borne on stalks rising above the water from early summer to early autumn � the common name 'brandy bottle' alludes to the distinctive scent. A vigorous aquatic for larger ponds.
