A small, slow-growing, deciduous shrub or tree to about 5m tall from Easter Island (toromiro), now believed extinct in the wild, with pinnate leaves of small, dark green leaflets and small, pea-like, yellow flowers in spring. A poignant and rare conservation specimen for a warm, well-drained glasshouse or frost-free garden.
