About

This tiny succulent forming dense mats of fleshy, warty, club-shaped leaves to 1cm tall. In summer it produces starry, white flowers to 1.5cm across; these open in the evening and are perfumed.

About the genus

A genus of flowering succulents, coral-like and with spindly, star-shaped flowers. Native to South Africa, they are found naturally in low-lying, dry areas such as cracks and crevices where little water collects.

CultivationGrow in standard cactus compost in full sun with good ventilation.
