Narcissus asturiensis (Division 13) is a pygmy daffodil to 10 cm with grey-green, channelled leaves and solitary, light-yellow flowers 3�4 cm wide with narrow, slightly twisted perianth segments. One of the daintiest of all daffodils � excellent in an alpine trough or short turf.

About the genus

Narcissus are bulbous perennials with strap-shaped leaves and leafless stems bearing solitary or clustered flowers, each with six spreading perianth segments and a central cup or trumpet-shaped corona. A classic spring bulb for borders, naturalising and cutting.
