About

A compact, tufted, deciduous perennial from the southeastern Alps and Balkans with broad, spoon-shaped basal leaves and erect, branching stems bearing funnel-shaped, clear bright blue, white-striped flowers in late summer. A choice and beautiful small Gentiana for a cool, moist, well-drained, partly shaded alpine border.
