Moltkia doerfleri, Doerfler's moltkia, is a rhizomatous, woody-based perennial to 40 cm with wiry, upright stems and lance-shaped leaves. From late spring to midsummer, arching flower spikes carry pendant, narrowly tubular, purple flowers. An ornamental plant for a sunny, Mediterranean or rock garden.
