Clump-forming deciduous grass to 1.8m in height with narrow, linear mid-green leaves. Slender airy plumes of tiny silvery-white flowers, on yellow-tinted mid green stems, are held above the foliage from summer to autumn, the stems and leaves turn orange-yellow by late autumn.
