About
In late spring and summer it produces tubular, orange-red flowers form the leaf axils. A half-hardy, srcrambling evergreen shrub to 2m tall, with leathery, dark green leaves. It thrives in cool, humid climates but requires protection from hard frosts.

Care notes
CultivationUnder glass, grow in ericaceous potting compost in bright, filtered light, with moderate to high humidity. When in growth, water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly; water sparingly in winter. Outdoors, grow in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acid soil in light dappled shade. Shelter from cold, drying winds. Keep the roots cool and shaded, but allow the top to grow into sunlight
