Royal Beauty' is a small weeping tree with red-purple young leaves becoming purplish-green in the summer; single, deep reddish-purple flowers 5cm wide in late spring are followed by small, ovoid dark red fruits.

CultivationBest grown in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. It will tolerate partial shade, however purple leaved cultivars such as this one are is best grown in full sun for good leaf colour to develop
