Luzuriaga radicans is an evergreen scrambling climber with wiry, rooting stems and narrow, oval leaves set in opposite rows. Small, scented, white, star-shaped flowers with a central yellow cone of anthers hang singly or in small clusters from the leaf-axils in summer, followed by small red or orange berries. A rewarding and ornamental scrambling plant for a moist, shaded, sheltered position.
