About
Littorella uniflora, the shoreweed, is a semi-evergreen, slow-growing, compact aquatic plant with narrow, pale-green leaves forming rosettes and sending out runners to create a carpet effect. When not submerged, very small, four-petalled, single white flowers emerge from the centre of the rosette from May to August. It copes well in shade and can be found in ponds, lakes and slow-moving streams, and is also suitable for terrariums and aquariums.
