About

Ligularia sibirica is a compact, clump-forming perennial to around 100 cm with basal rosettes of broadly ovate leaves. In mid to late summer, clusters of small, yellow fertile florets are surrounded by narrow, bright-yellow ray florets, with the flowers opening in sequence from the lowest upwards on often purplish-red-tinged stems. A rewarding and ornamental Ligularia for a moist, sheltered border or streamside.

About the genus

Ligularia are robust, herbaceous perennials with large, often attractively lobed leaves and yellow or orange, daisy-like flowerheads in terminal racemes or branching clusters in summer and autumn. Excellent plants for moist, sheltered borders and streamside plantings.
