About

A compact, stiff-stemmed, evergreen shrub to about 1m tall from eastern North America with small, elliptic, dark green leaves and tiny, urn-shaped, white to pink flowers followed by small, sweet, edible, blue-black berries in late summer. A choice bilberry relative for moist, acidic, cool conditions in a rock garden or heathland planting.
