About

A compact, erect, evergreen shrub to about 1.5m tall from the alpine and sub-alpine regions of southeastern Australia with small, broadly elliptic, dark green leaves and small, dense, white to cream, bottlebrush-like flower spikes in summer. A hardy alpine Callistemon for a sunny, well-drained rock garden or sheltered border in a cool, mild garden.

About the genus

Leucocrinum includes herbaceous and sometimes woody species grown for their ornamental merit. The genus is represented in gardens by selected species and cultivars suited to a range of growing conditions
