About

A compact, woody-based perennial from Assyria and the Near East with broadly lance-shaped, silky-hairy, silver-grey leaves and short, erect stems bearing small, funnel-shaped, pale pink-lilac flowers in summer. A little-known silver-leaved bindweed for a warm, sunny, very well-drained rock garden.

Leptodactylon includes herbaceous and sometimes woody species grown for their ornamental merit. The genus is represented in gardens by selected species and cultivars suited to a range of growing conditions
