About
A medium-sized, spreading, deciduous shrub to about 1.5�2m tall from dry, rocky habitats in western North America, with small, three-lobed (tridentata), glandular-aromatic, mid-green leaves and short racemes of small, creamy-yellow flowers in late spring, followed by dry, silvery, one-seeded fruits. A drought-tolerant and wildlife-valuable shrub for a hot, sunny, sharply-drained position.
