Lamium album, the white dead-nettle, is a rhizomatous, downy perennial spreading by stolons. Square stems bear toothed, stalked, slightly heart-shaped leaves and whorls of white, hooded flowers with toothed lower lips from spring to late autumn � an important nectar source for long-tongued bumblebees and mason bees. A useful and ornamental native wildflower for a shaded border or wild garden.
