About

Jovibarba hirta var. neilreichii, Neilreich's hairy beard of Jupiter, is an evergreen, mat-forming perennial to 15 cm with small rosettes of narrow, green leaves tipped and often suffused red. A stem bearing pale-yellow flowers may be produced in summer after several years, following which the individual rosette dies. An ornamental and neat succulent for a sunny rock garden, trough or wall crevice.

Jovibarba are rosette-forming perennial succulents producing compact, architectural rosettes of fleshy, water-storing leaves and pale greenish-yellow or yellow, bell-shaped flowers in summer. Grown mainly for their architectural, colourful foliage in sunny, very well-drained positions.
