A striking Japanese iris, reaching 60-90cm, with upright, sword-shaped leaves from a vigorous rhizome. Large, flat, orchid-like flowers with dramatically flared falls in shades of white in midsummer. A rewarding selection, 'Labby White' performs well in mixed borders.

PruningRemove spent flower stems after blooming. Cut back foliage to a fan shape in late summer. Clear dead leaves in autumn.
PropagationDivide congested clumps every 3-4 years after flowering. Replant healthy rhizome sections with a fan of leaves.
