A dwarf, annual or perennial from high-altitude rocky steppe in Central Asia with spatula-shaped or linear, hairy leaves in a basal rosette and short, branched stems bearing small clusters of tiny, white to pale pink, four-petalled flowers in spring. A botanical curiosity for a very well-drained, cool alpine house.
