About
Compact, evergreen shrub or dome-shaped tree to 8m tall with purple-green stems. Small white spring flowers are followed by large, scarlet fruits if pollinated by a male cultivar. Oblong to oval, glossy, spiny fresh green leaves to 7cm long are prominently veined.
