About
Variable hybrid forming a range of evergreen shrubs and trees up to around 15m in height. Many cultivars of this hybrid are excellent for use as tall hedges or screens, are resistant to pollution and able to withstand coastal exposure. Orange to red berries may be borne on female plants. Leaves are usually glossy and with few, if any, spines.
