About

A large, clump-forming, rhizomatous perennial to about 1.5m tall from mountain habitats in China and Korea with large, broadly kidney-shaped, dark green basal leaves and tall, stout stems bearing dense racemes of bright golden-yellow, daisy-like flowerheads in late summer and autumn. A bold and impressive waterside or border perennial for moist, fertile, humus-rich soil.
