About
Bushy evergreen tree about 10m tall, with purple young stems. Small white late spring flowers are followed by scarlet fruit. Large, broadly ovate, spiny green leaves mottled and margined with bold, dark golden-yellow.

CultivationGow in well-drained soil in a sunny position. Although partial shade is suitable, variegated cultivars have better leaf colour in full sun
