A perennial legume to about 30cm tall from stony, dry meadows of the Caucasus (Transcaucasus), with pinnate, mid-green leaves and short racemes of small, pink to purple, pea-shaped flowers in summer, followed by small, hairy pods. A neat and ornamental plant for a sunny, well-drained border or rock garden.
