About
Flowerheads, borne from summer into autumn, open with green florets that develop a two-toned appearance with irregular markings of either soft pink or, in acidic conditions, a bluish-purple. A rounded, deciduous shrub, to 1.25m tall, with dark green, oval leaves. Over time, the blue or pink markings become darker and more pronounced before fading away to leave the flowerhead predominantly green again.
