Hoya carnosa, the wax plant, is a vigorous, evergreen, stem-rooting climber to 5 m with rigid, fleshy, dark-green leaves and umbels of night-scented, waxy, red-centred, white or pale-pink flowers to 15 mm across. One of the most popular and widely grown of all Hoya species as a houseplant or conservatory climber.
