Hosta fortunei, the tall-cluster plantain lily, is a vigorous, herbaceous perennial forming a clump of broadly ovate, boldly veined, green leaves to 20 cm long and 15 cm wide. Pale-purple flowers on erect stems to 75 cm tall appear in summer. A reliable and ornamental Hosta for a shaded or partly shaded border or container.
